How it Works

We are accepting 2024 beef orders! Beef will be ready September–October.

  1. Place your order and make a deposit at checkout. If you’d prefer to a mail a check, drop us an email.

    Quarter: $200 deposit

    Half: $300 deposit

    Whole: $500 deposit

  2. We’ll let you know your specific harvest date (typically September–October) and we’ll arrange the pick-up of your beef.

  3. The butchers at Hopkins Packing Company in Blackfoot, ID will call you to customize your order (desired cuts, pounds per package of ground beef, number of steaks per package, jerky, pre-made patties, etc.).

  4. Pay Pratt Family Beef the remaining balance of your beef share within one week of the harvest date. Pay Hopkins Packing Company for the harvest fee and cut/wrap fee.

  5. Pick up your beef from Hopkins in Blackfoot, or at drop-off locations in Boise, ID, Twin Falls, ID, Salt Lake City, UT, or Jackson, WY.

Pricing

Our product is priced per pound of the cow’s hanging weight ($4.50, $4.25, and $4.00). About 60% of the animal will turn into packaged beef (less extra fat, bones, etc.). You will also compensate Hopkins Packing Company .72 cents per pound to cut and wrap your product. For more details, check out our price list.

Wholesale beef is usually packaged with a thin plastic liner, and then a paper outer layer. Vacuum sealed product is available upon request for a fee.
